After meeting at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture and collaborating during almost five years within a renowned Parisian architecture cabinet, Olivier Amat and Laurent Saint-Val created Amat & Saint-Val Architects firm in 2014.
​ A common vision of architecture and a perfect complementarity of skills and knowledge are the very essence of their collaboration. Each partner has developed its own skills, creating a synergy and a mastery of the construction process, from the draft to the realisation.

 

Olivier Amat / Associate architect


Specialised in operations set-up, programming, project management and conception, Olivier Amat studied at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris and graduated in 2007. An environmental approach and operation management specialisation led him to teach architectural conception and sustainable construction techniques at the Institut d’Aménagement et d’Urbanisme in Paris IV-Sorbonne University for two years (2010-11).

From 2007 to 2013, he has worked in a renowned Parisian architecture agency. He has participated personally to several architecture competitions, including the “Grand Prix d’Architecture” of the Académie des Beaux-Arts (a famous French architecture award) from which he was a finalist in 2009. Then he created Amat & Saint-Val Architects firm in 2014.

Laurent Saint-Val / Associate architect



Born and raised in Guadeloupe (FWI island), Laurent Saint-Val studied at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris and graduated in 2008. After working in prestigious architecture agencies in France and in Guadeloupe, he joined a renowned Parisian architecture agency where he worked for five years.
Specialised in conception and architectural research, Laurent Saint-Val has expert knowledge in architectural conception and projects rendering. He has excelled in different architecture competitions, as the “Grand Prix d’Architecture” of the Académie des Beaux-Arts from which he was a finalist in 2011. His personal projects have been widely published and acclaimed. In 2014, he joined Olivier Amat to create Amat & Saint-Val Architects agency.
